On one occasion John, Brigham, and Joseph Young, along with Heber C. Kimball were gathering wood for Phineas Young. While working, the men were discussing Mormonism when they were shown what in vision (This was at a time previous to any of these brethren joining the Church)?

A)     The Nauvoo Temple

B)     The Salt Lake Temple

C)     The Kirtland Temple

D)     The persecution of the Saints

Yesterday’s answer:

(B)   He was the commanding officer of the Mormon Battalion

Elder B. H. Roberts wrote the following stating that the Colonel “passed through the city with his head uncovered, as a token of his respect for the Mormon Battalion.” (The Colonel led the Battalion in its march to the pacific in 1846-47 during the Mexican War)

Roberts, B. H., A Comprehensive History of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Century I, 6 vols. (Salt Lake City: The Church and Deseret News Press, 1930) 4:446.
