A Call to Meetings

Image result for town crier
When the Saints first entered the valley, what was used in the fort they constructed to announce meetings?

a.      The fort crier

b.      The clock that is now located in downtown Salt Lake City

c.       The Nauvoo Temple bell

d.      The Ward rooster

Yesterday’s answer:

B.   Deaconesses

Relief Societies copied the priesthood organization in several respects. They called women to be teachers, like the block teachers, to visit the sisters in the ward. They called a few sisters to be deaconesses, doing the work ward deacons did—making the meeting place ready and comfortable for each week’s meeting.
