Due to persecution in the Harmony, Pennsylvania area [Harmony and persecution in the same sentence. . . .hmmm—about as oxymoron as one can get] it was necessary to move Joseph, Emma, and Oliver to Fayette, New York and the residence of Peter Whitmer Sr. David was sent to bring the threesome back to the Whitmer cabin. Miracles surrounded this event. All the way from David liming and plowing the fields prior to his journey to the journey itself. What made David Whitmer’s trek from Fayette to Harmony so miraculous?
a. Moroni saw in vision the removal of the Smiths from Pennsylvania to Fayette centuries earlier
b. Isaiah prophesied of this event in the Book of Isaiah
c. David Whitmer was instructed by the Angel Moroni to bring the Smiths and Cowdery to his father’s cabin
d. Joseph Smith knew where David was throughout his journey
