Indian Encounters

Image result for Indians

It was difficult to say what would happen when the Saints encounter Natives on the trail. There were many good chance meetings when either the Saints benefitted or the Natives. On the other hand, there were times when neither group faired so well. Agnes McEwan’s encounter could be one that was neither good, but at the same time benefitted the Saints she was traveling with. What happened after Agnes ran ahead of the company on the trail?

a.      An Indian cut off her braids

b.      An Indian took her shoes

c.       An Indian cut the buttons off her dress

d.      An Indian took the ribbons from her hair

Yesterday’s answer:

a.      Elder George Albert Smith

The same year George Albert Smith became an apostle, the Wright brothers made their first flight (1903). Some 17 years later, President Smith finally had the chance to fly. He took a plane over the English Channel in 1920, becoming the first General Authority ever to use an airplane for transportation.
