The Medium for the First Angel Moroni

Angel Moroni
Artist work in all sorts of materials these days, yes, including garbage. Often these materials are referred to as their medium. Understanding this, what was the first Angel Moroni statue constructed of that was placed on the Salt Lake Temple?

Additional interesting information:

   The temple was built of sandstone covered with plaster. The cornerstone was laid on July 23, 1833, and the project had an immediate impact on the Church and the community. It spurred a lagging economy and employed those unable to find work elsewhere including refugees from troubled Missouri.
