Latter-day Saint Christmas Song Composers

Latter-day Saint, John Menzies McFarlane wrote what popular Christmas song?

a.      Jingle Bells

b.      The First Noel

c.       Frosty the Snowman

d.      Far, Far Away on Judea’s Plains

Yesterday’s answer:

a.      There were no Christmas presents on Christmas morning

Christmas presents were expensive and hard to get in those pioneer days in Idaho. However, Sarah and William [Carbine] always had Santa Claus for all the children, with the exception of the first Christmas spent in Idaho. Their son Ed had gone to Camas on horseback to get presents for the children. He bought them, but he left them on the counter and went home without them. The children did not believe in Santa after that.
