“I guess I’ll stop trying to write a journal”

In early 1885, Lafayette Guymon made the above statement in his journal. Why did he want to give up writing about his life?

In October 1903, George Albert Smith is ordained an Apostle, replacing Brigham Young Jr., who had died. He becomes the first son to serve concurrently with his father (Elder John Henry Smith) in the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
