A Long Short Career

With baseball just around the corner, I thought a question along those lines would be appropriate.
Which LDS major league ball player played for twenty years but only played two games in the major leagues?
A)                 Spencer Adams
B)                 Red Perry
C)                 Newt Kimball
D)                 Ray Jacobs

Yesterday’s answer:
(A) “I’ve walked 1200 miles and I’m willing to walk 1000 more rather than stay here
“I have come 1200 miles to reach this valley and walked much of the way, but I am willing to walk a thousand miles farther rather than remain here.”

Berrett, William Edwin, The Restored Church (Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Company, 1973), 262.
