They Thought They Proved the Prophet Wrong

Joseph Smith
When the Saints were forced to leave Missouri, the non-members assumed that Joseph Smith was not a prophet because of what?
a.                  His prophecy that the temple cornerstone in Far West, Missouri would be laid
b.                  That Zion was in Jackson County, Missouri
c.                   His teachings that the Garden of Eden was in Jackson County, Missouri
d.                  His teachings that the Lord would fight the Saint’s battles
Yesterday’s answer:
b.   Evenings with the family
The following from the journal of Mary Jane Tanner on February 10th, 1878.
At last dinner is over, the work done and all are gone. I can sit down and pulling my paper. I copied two pages in my book of poems, then Myron came and read to me a lecture given by Moses Thatcher. It is very interesting, but Lewis teases all the time, and wanders around in search of a pencil. Finally I get to the room where the girls are. They raise a fight and I settle it by sending them all out of the room. I in the meantime listening to the lecture but nearly wild and wish there was no lecture.
