Accumulating Property

In 1855, 8 years after the Saints had settled the Salt Lake Valley, what was Brigham Young’s property value worth?
a.                  $10,000
b.                  $1,000
c.                   $200,000
d.                  $100,000
Yesterday’s answer:
a.      The site of the first Sunday school
In December 1849 Richard Ballantyne called some 50 children to his home in Salt Lake City and held the first Sunday school. The meetings included singing, prayers, lessons, recitations, catechisms, and even examination days to assure the material was properly learned. Soon other schools were begun in Utah, and the organization was later formalized. A monument at First West and Third South Streets in Salt Lake City marks the spot of those early cabin meetings.
