When Oliver
Cowdery, Peter Whitmer Jr., Parley P. Pratt, and Ziba Peterson headed out on
their Lamanite Mission in 1830-1831 they were extremely successful in the
Kirtland area. What is less known was their success in Missouri. We do know
that they were kicked off the Indian Lands by a jealous Government Indian
Agent, but just how many baptism did they have?
They baptized 40 to
50 individuals in Lafayette County in Missouri.
