Since the Church has been organized a number of Proclamations have been issued. The latest was 1995, “The Family a Proclamation to the World.” How many proclamations have been issued by the Church since it was first organized in 1830?
Prayer circles have been around since ancient times (1 Tim. 2:8) and are usually associated with the temple. The prayer circle was instituted on May 4, 1842, nevertheless, two types of prayer circles have been organized apart from the temple. One was at Nauvoo where specially invited guest participated. The prayer circle started anew in 1851 in the Salt Lake Valley but were discontinued in 1929 by the First Presidency because this privilege was not available to all worthy members.
