Yesterday’s answer:
(B)   Tennessee Mission President Ben E. Rich
Surprisingly, Theodore Roosevelt first came in contact with the Mormon Church at Rexburg, Idaho in 1900. At the time Ben E. Rich, a prominent member of the Church predicted that Roosevelt would one day become President of the United States. This was the beginning of a close friendship.
In 1902 Roosevelt, now President of the country was in Chattanooga, Tennessee on parade. President Roosevelt happened to see Ben Rich, who was then serving as Mission President, in the crowd. Theodore Roosevelt stopped the parade and shook hands and visited with Brother Rich momentarily asking him how he was doing in the mission field. After a brief visit, Roosevelt said: “I think now by this recognition, you will have more friends in the South.”
