Making a Prophecy

When Charles Francis Adams and Josiah Quincy visited Nauvoo they asked the prophet to make a prophecy. What did Joseph Smith prophesy?
a.                  That the states would soon be involved in a civil war
b.                  That John Tyler would not become the next U. S. President
c.                   That those who obey the Word of Wisdom shall walk and not be weary
d.                  His own death
Yesterday’s answer:
(C)   Medicine they concocted
Brothers Willard and Levi [Richards] had taken up the study of Thompsonian medicine and became licensed doctors in Massachusetts. They hoped to help with the sickness in the family. Let me here give a recipe which was used to cure: (August 14, 1837) First take epsom salts to clear the system. Then mix wormwood, hops, pennyroyal, hyssop, boneset, hemlock, blackberry, a large handful of nettle roots for the nerves—make it strong and bitter, then molasses. Stir in a little ginger to set it working. Drink freely. It nearly kills me but it is awful good medicine.
