Called Onto the Carpet

Lorenzo Dow Young
Shortly after Lorenzo Young, brother to Brigham Young, arrived in the Great Salt Lake Valley, he was called onto the carpet for doing what?
a.                  Building a home outside the fort
b.                  Planting an orchard instead of wheat
c.                   Giving food to the natives
d.                  Not attending his meetings
Yesterdays’ answer:
(C)   To gather the Saints living in the Southern States to Utah
From the life of Abraham Owen Smoot:   His last mission after the martyrdom of the Prophet was to gather up the Saints of the Southern States for the journey to the mountains. In the exodus he led a company to Winter Quarters and was the captain of one of the pioneer companies in the journey to the valley of the Great Salt Lake.
