Brigham’s Call to the Women

See the source image

Shortly before his death in the late 1870s, Brigham called a number of women to go east for what purpose?
a.                  Missions
b.                  Newspaper editors for The Mormon in New York City
c.                   Clerk training for ZCMI
d.                  Medical School
Yesterday’s answer:
C   Due to the number of moves she did in her married life
From the life of Leonora Cannon Allred Gardner:   On June 23, 1863, Leonora became the fourth wife of Robert Gardner (He was born October 12, 1819). Afterward, they returned to Dixie, living where the Arrowhead Hotel later stood. Three of Leonora’s’ sons were born in that home, but for many years she had no place to call her own, moving back and forth between Pine Valley, Grass Valley, and St. George. She later claimed that she moved so often that whenever a wagon stopped in front of the house, the chickens would lie down with their feet in the air to be tied.
